River Roost

$1500 for an old motel room for starters. I'm sure River Roost would argue that "well we have nice common spaces and amenities" but guess what? They close those at 9. Also, the dryers, multiple of them, melt any synthetic material that is place in there despite the setting and despite proper use. There are in-room fire alarm systems and whenever this would happen (which was every couple weeks for a while), a deafening message would come over the speaker system and repeat itself for several minutes until the laundry fire was taken care of.

My time here has been okay, The main manager Sabina and the maintenance guys are absolutely fantastic and are willing to help you with a smile on their face any day anytime and right away. The apartments are pretty small and obviously that amenities aren’t great but it’s definitely the most affordable place in town for location. now on the other hand… There is an assistant manager named ERIN Who either started or transferred over a year ago somewhere in that range.

Ive lived at River Roost for 18 months. I’m into my 2nd lease. Being right on the Animas on the edge of downtown Durango in what I think is the perfect apartment, with reasonable rent and so many amenities just works for me. But, it’s management - PEOPLE - who really make the difference. How many apartment complexes do you know of that the maintenance guys - James and Micheal - show up early for work to make sure we can get out of the parking lot after 6 new inches of snow?
