The Ave at Norman Apartments

this apartment complex actually sucks. at least three components inside of the apartment will be broken (i’ve seen and heard this from other residents and myself) and the apartment itself is poor quality for the price you’re paying. you can go find another apartment that is relatively the same price as this one for insanely better quality. the trash company never picks up trash and randoms fees are added to your rent without notice. some buildings are literally falling apart. my AC broke 3 times in the span of a month and a half. each time it broke, maintenance did absolutely nothing.

The Ave only cares about increasing their leasing numbers. Once you sign with them they don’t give a crap and won’t do anything to help you. There’s been multiple car break ins and a shooting yet there has been no security despite protests from the community. Moreover, the pool has been closed for 90% of the time it’s been warm enough to swim yet they won’t bother refunding the amenity fee. And before they respond to this saying to reach out to the office so they can make things right, I have multiple times and nothing has been done.

Unfortunately, my time at the Ave at Norman has not been pleasant. While the staff have been friendly, the amenities here have been closed, such as the pool re-closing starting today, July 13th without any update on when it will reopen. Another issue I have is with the volleyball court, as the sand has gotten worse throughout my time at the apartment complex, as well as the net keeps on falling down. I have complained about this but have seen no results.
