The Stella, Denver

Very disappointing for the amount of money residents are expected to pay. I have lived here for almost a year, and the condition of this building has become increasingly unacceptable. For the price of rent, I expected a clean, secure, and well-maintained property. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. The building is consistently dirty. Residents allow their dogs to defecate in the hallways, and the smell throughout the building can be terrible. The elevators frequently look like they haven't been properly cleaned, and graffiti has been left inside them.

(Edit: the maintenance staff deserves large raises! They are the only consistently great employees here. Without them this place would be in shambles, residents would feel no sense of security, and every single resident safety here would be severely compromised. They are the glue holding together what would otherwise be a 1 or 2 star experience at best. 5 stars for them.) Office staff is pretty inconsistent, they seem to have a difficult time retaining management which is frustrating for when you need direct assistance.

Had a great experience working with Arnold from maintenance at Stella Apartments. He was professional, responsive, and stayed on top of everything from start to finish. Communication was clear, and he made sure the job was handled properly without cutting corners. You can tell he takes his role seriously and actually cares about getting issues resolved the right way. He was easy to work with and made the whole process smooth. Definitely appreciate the effort — solid maintenance support all around.
