This restaurant was opened by Danny Jones, Charleston’s longest serving mayor for 16 years. Serving up everything from barbeque ribs, chicken, pork, salads and soup. You’ll want to make sure you try his signature side, smoked potato salad. Danny began working in restaurants in the mid-60’s at the old Sterling restaurant and then opened his first restaurant in 1974. The restaurant seats a few dozen people in the front and back of the building. Newspaper articles, photos, and memorabilia are displayed on the walls to show Jones’ history in Charleston, West Virginia. Danny is always happy to serve his customers. Barbecue restaurants?
